Age 93, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2001, at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna.
She was born on November 12, 1907, in Kimberly, the daughter of the late Arnold and Dora (Van Heeswyk) Theyssen.
On November 23, 1946, she married Norman G. Boettcher at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly.
Catherine was very active at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna, where she was a member of the Ladies of Holy Cross, and the Mission Society.
She and her husband were members of the Kaukauna Elks Club and the Kaukauna Seniors Club.
Catherine worked at the Kimberly Post Office and was a long time bookkeeper for Gloudeman and Gage Department Store in Appleton.
She loved her church and family activities, baking, sewing, bridge club and bowling. Catherine was a very kind and giving person who was always there for her family, neighbors and friends.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Beulah (Martin) Vanden Hogen; her niece, Mattie (Marvin) Ebben and their family; a nephew, Robert (Mary Sue) Kreikamp and their family; Maxine Kreikamp and her family; nephew, John (Maureen) Van Dinter and a niece, Mary (Randy) Moreau and their families. Catherine has been reunited with her husband, Norman, her parents, a brother, Arnold Jr., sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgiana (Edward) Van Dinter and Marie (Harry) Kreikamp, a brother-in-law, Matthew Van Groll and a nephew, James Kreikamp.
The funeral liturgy will be at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2001, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, the Rev. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the management and staff of St. Paul Elder Services for their love, kindness and compassion over the past eleven years. The outstanding care they provided is greatly appreciated and will always be remembered.
